The question nobody was answering.
When I was first designing the EarthBae vest, I wasn't just looking at how to make it warmer or slimmer—though Graphene Zones definitely solved that. I was looking at the industry as a whole.
I kept asking myself: What happens to the tech when the journey is over?
I looked for a brand that actually stood by the lifecycle of their gear. I found plenty of companies happy to sell a vest, but I couldn't find a single one that had a plan for the hardware once it hit its limit years down the road. It felt like a massive gap in trust, especially for someone buying their first piece of heated apparel.
Building a "First-of-its-Kind" System.
I didn't want EarthBae to be just another product on a shelf. I wanted it to be a responsible entity. Since the solution I wanted didn't exist, I built it myself.
That’s how EcoDispose started.
Trust the Loop
If you’re just getting into heated gear, you’re focused on the immediate win—staying comfortable at the kickoff or during that 6:00 AM launch. That’s exactly how it should be. But I built EcoDispose so that you’d have the peace of mind of a "closed-loop" system from day one.
-
The Program: We are the first in the space to offer a free, nationwide mail-in recycling service for 7.4V batteries.
-
The Scope: It doesn’t even have to be our battery. If you’ve got an old 7.4V cell from a generic brand, we’ll take it. I’d rather EarthBae lead by cleaning up the category than just ignoring the impact.
Reliability You Can Feel
This isn't just about recycling; it’s about the engineering. We use the EarthBae 7.4V battery because it has the "punch" to keep the Heating Panels efficient when the damp spring mist hits.
Machine Washable: I made sure you could just toss the vest in a normal wash (battery out, of course) and tumble dry low.
Ruggedized: Graphene is incredibly resilient. It’s built for the real-world "yank" of a hook set or the hustle of a busy sideline.
The Finish Line is the Starting Point.
I built this brand for the people who—like me—spend their lives outside and want gear that respects the environment we’re playing in. When you buy your first EarthBae vest, you aren't just getting Climate Autonomy; you’re buying into a system that’s already thought about the finish line so you don't have to.
We’re here to make sure your first experience with heated gear is your best one.
Can we agree this belongs in your life?
A Quick Chat on the EarthBae System
Is EcoDispose really a "first"? To my knowledge, yes. While you might find a local hazardous waste drop-off, we are the first-of-its-kind to offer a dedicated, free mail-in program specifically for the 7.4V batteries used in this industry.
Why does a founder care about other brands' batteries? Because at the end of the day, a battery in a landfill is a failure for the whole outdoor community. I want EarthBae to be the brand that sets the standard for how everyone should operate.
Is it hard to use? Not at all. Years from now, when you’re ready for an upgrade, you just grab a label from our site and send the old tech back. No fees, no stress.
Slide into something that finally gets you.
One Vest. All Climates.
